I ve connected this mouse with a couple of dells and mac over the last 4 5 years.

If you bought trackball marble from logitech the first challenge you encounter is probably related to the lack of the wheel button. Unfortunately the software provided with the device for windows doesn t help neither universal or auto search aren t really working as i was expecting. So now that i m using it i ve just realised it has no scroll wheel and having to click on the side bar to manually scroll on webpages is well. It s not even only about the marble as it will work well with a mouse without wheel or another trackball that has a bad or no wheel.

You need couple of weeks to get used to it but then it s simple to use like any other mouse. Reliable over the long term. For those who are either used to a traditional mouse or who have used a finger operated scroll wheel the trackman marble wheel may take some getting used to. Mac os x 10 4 or later.

I made the switch because my parents use to have one at home and it was amazing. Trackman marble is a great mouse. Easy to control i have no issues with the scroll wheel. Battery seems to last forever.

It s about using the keyboard any key really shift or control works too and can be used for the original function as well to helping adding hacking the scrolling function with the ball. As the thumb generally is not the most dexterous of the five digits you may find it hard at first to actually get the cursor to point to the right icon.
