I have tried marble cleaner and magic eraser. It literally just appeared one day. These stains can be the result of a water glass that was left on a marble countertop for too long or from hard water buildup around sinks and showers. I found some beautiful tumbled marble 2x2 tiles for my shower floor.

Unlike in your kitchen dining room or on your floors you aren t likely to use anything in your shower that will stain the marble tiles. If water leaches into the tile it can cause the iron to rust. If your shower floor is made of marble brown stains might be caused by rust. Mold can stain marble bathroom countertops floors etc.

Spread it onto the stain then cover with plastic wrap sealed with painters tape. The tile store i found the tile at says they install marble all the time and have never had a problem help. Additionally you typically need to seal marble to prevent staining and you are very unlikely to stain the marble tiles in your shower with just regular bath products. Can marble be used for shower floors.

And cleaning marble rust stains is tricky. Some people say yes as long as it s sealed well others have told me no never. Once it s dry 12 to 24 hours scrape the paste off and wipe with a damp cloth. I am afraid to try anything else.

If there is a stain though we haven t yet had one in here i make a natural marble poultice from mixing baking soda and water to create a paste smear the paste over the stain and cover it with cling wrap to keep the poultice in place. Some marble may contain iron deposits. So things like lemon juice wine some household bathroom cleaners fruits and many other household items chemically react with the marble surface and actually dissolves part of the top surface of the marble. I thought it was soap scum at first but it is some kind of stain.

For deep set stains you may need to reapply paste. This stain just appeared on our shower floor a couple weeks ago. You see this most often on marble floor tile but certainly can occur on shower walls if water is getting behind the tiles providing enough moisture to leach into the marble tiles oxidize the iron deposits within the marble and carry the rusty water to the surface staining the tile. To remove stubborn stains use a poultice paste.

It stains shows dirt and looks worse over time. Etch marks occur when your marble encounters an acidic substance. Wash it off after 12 24 hours and the stain should be gone. I can t find a porcelain tile similar to what i want.

Most marble comes that way but double check with the dealer when you re purchasing it or else no amount of cleaning will keep your materials pristine.
