Castile soap is an incredibly versatile stone cleaner. All you need to do is apply a small amount of cleaner on the stains and area you want to clean and you are done. Marble is a porous material that can be easily discolored or faded by the citrus liquids oil ink metal furniture etc. A single use of these acidic substances will eat into a marble countertop s surface and dull the stone.

Then rinse with water and dry with a soft towel. Never use vinegar on marble. A secret in knowing how to clean marble countertops. Mild soap and hot water will do just fine.

Don t use abrasive cleaner or pads either because marble can be scratched. I recommend this marble granite cleaning spray or the green version is excellent and more environmentally friendly. Sprinkle a little baking soda onto the surface of the marble. If dust or other debris has accumulated a bit on your countertop or floor dilute a gentle dish soap in a little warm water and use a soft cloth to clean your marble surfaces.

You need not scrub the marble surface to clean the stubborn stains. You do not want to scrub because that can damage the surface. Hence in order to enhance the durability of your marble it is vital to use a marble cleaner instead of normal water. Buff dry with a cotton cloth or chamois.

You don t need specialty cleaners for marble. Make sure you thoroughly rinse the area with water to remove the soap residue because a buildup could eventually damage the marble. The only cleaning agents you should use on a regular basis are hot water and a specially formulated marble cleaner. Use a natural light soap or marble cleaner for deeper cleaning.

Lightly spray the surface with the cleaning solution.
